Ashyln Pulliam

Chapter delegate

Hi everyone! My name is Ashlyn Pulliam, I am a P3 student and the chapter delegate for this year! One of the biggest reasons I joined SNPhA was because of the mission statement and values it runs on to “serve the underserved”. Last year I had the opportunity to be one of the Cancer Initiative Co-Chairs, where my co-chair and I held various educational events to raise awareness about cancer. One of my favorite parts was attending health fairs to raise awareness of cancer in the community through providing education over types of chemotherapies and how to support individuals going through treatment, cancer prevention, affordable resources for cancer screenings, and general education over various cancers. The impact my co-chair and I saw on the community through these health fairs encouraged me to become delegate chair for this year, with the goal to propose the Cancer Initiative as a national initiative. I am passionate about this because I believe everyone should have equal access to information about cancer, cancer prevention and affordable resources for cancer screenings and believe cancer as a national initiative could achieve this goal.

Fun Fact: I played the flute for 7 years!
