Cultural Competency Workshop
Monday evening, UH SNPhA hosted its first annual cultural competency workshop. Students had the opportunity to learn and further understand the need for cultural competence within our daily lives as well as within the pharmacy profession as future pharmacists. The workshop created a space for students to share their personal stories that shed light into the similarities and differences that each of us share. The experience was eye opening and helped us realize the importance of getting to know a person’s situation rather than letting our unconscious bias negatively affect our interactions. #UHSNPhA #TransformTheNorm #StrengthInPurpose #Region4AccomplishingMore

SCCP x SNPHA INTERDISCIPLINARY FIELD DAY
Thursday evening, UH SNPhA partnered with UH SCCP for a fun-filled indoor interdisciplinary field day event. Students of both organizations had the opportunity to participate in field-day style activities (with a medical twist) such as a three-legged race with ACE wrap bandages, a personal protective equipment garbing activity, and an escape-room style team case over depression. We also had the chance to team up with students from SNDA once again, and we are very appreciative of them coming to support the event. #UHSNPhA #TransformTheNorm #StrengthInPurpose #RegionIVAccomplishingMore
